Comanche is easy to catch, gentle for little hands to groom, stands quietly, and genuinely enjoys attention. You can saddle him, hand the reins to your child, and feel comfortable knowing you have a steady, quiet, dependable partner underneath them. He adjusts beautifully to his rider and is tolerant of inexperienced cues. He rides confidently both alone and in a group, crosses water, steps over logs, crosses bridges, and takes the sights and sounds of everyday life in stride. He is comfortable around dogs, other livestock, ATVs, and the daily commotion that comes with an active family and kids.
What truly sets Comanche apart is that he has the training, feel, movement, and responsiveness of a big horse. He has a comfortable trot, a slow, balanced canter, picks up the correct lead, moves laterally, and is light in the bridle. He responds well to both leg and seat cues. Is trained to lay down from the ground or from the saddle. And as a true testament to his training and trust, Comanche can even be ridden bridleless!
Comanche transitions easily into English disciplines. He is sporty and comfortable without sacrificing his quiet, dependable nature. He is quiet and easy on the flat, takes vocal and leg cues well when approaching the fence, and is currently jumping up to 2 feet.
