Rosalina, affectionately known as “Rosie,” is a gorgeous red roan pony mare! This unique gal has four white socks, a strip on her face, a big long mane, and a unique tail that looks as if it has highlights and touches the ground! Rosie is a special pony that we are proud to offer.
Rosie is by far the exception to the bad rep that ponies have. This kind gal is truly SO quiet and is the same girl every single day. No matter how many days off, one can count on Rosie to be honest. She is GENTLE GENTLE GENTLE!! We have five dogs that all run around Rosie, and even jump up on her, and she will not even flinch. Rosie couldn’t care less about crossing a tarp or the tarp being on top of her. She has helped push cattle while the guys are roping, and all the commotion is of no concern.
Rosalina is absolutely the BEST to trail ride for kids or a small adult! She is absolutely sure-footed and takes her time. She can keep up with the big horses when asked or take it nice and easy. Rosie will go up or down any hill, steep or not then cross water like it isn’t even there. One of the best qualities about Rosie is how great she will just stop and stand patiently. Whether you are in the arena or on the trails, her patience is second to none.
This beautiful pony rides like a big horse! She is soft in her face and moves off of leg pressure. No need to dismount when going through a gate or door, as one can just ask her to side-pass over to open and close. Rosie has been used to sort cattle in the feed yard as well as sort calves in the tight alley. This girl is handy broke and will try hard! Rosie loves to stop- just sit down and say “whoa,” and her back feet will hit the ground. She will back up low-headed and soft then cross over with a soft, swift move.
Rosalina picks up all four feet quietly and stands fantastic to be bathed. She is current on shots, coggins, de-worming and farrier. She gets along great with other ponies and is good to catch.
