Kizmet is a 5-year-old, 14-hand mustang with an exceptional disposition. Friendly, curious, and always eager to please, he genuinely enjoys having a job. Whether you’re spending time with him on the ground or in the saddle, he is a pleasure to be around
He has excellent ground manners, is easy to handle, and is respectful in every situation. Kizmet ties quietly, loads and unloads from the trailer with ease, stands patiently for the farrier, and is barefoot. On the trail, Kizmet is confident, dependable, and incredibly fun to ride. He offers the perfect balance of “whoa” and “go,” making him enjoyable for a variety of riders. He confidently navigates steep terrain, creek crossings, and wildlife encounters without hesitation, going wherever you point him. He rides equally well alone or with a group and is happy to lead or follow. Our favorite rides are just Kizmet, the dog, and miles of trail.
Kizmet is also confident over obstacles. He is sure-footed, level-headed, and bold, willingly dragging objects, carrying a flag, crossing a teeter-totter, and handling tarps, pool noodles, and other obstacles with ease.
In the arena, he has a solid foundation and is responsive to light aids. He understands lateral work, has a comfortable western jog, an extended trot, and a balanced canter.
What makes Kizmet even more remarkable is that, as a mustang, he was unhandled until just seven months ago. Everything you’ve read, and everything you’ll see in his videos, has been accomplished in a remarkably short period of training, showcasing his intelligence, willingness, and exceptional ability to learn.
