🦍👑!!Meet King Kong!! 👑🦍
This is one big horse!! Although he is a giant, he has the demeanor of a miniature pony!!! Absolutely as gentle and sweet as puppy!! To know him is love him!! He draws a crowd everywhere he goes and he loves it. If you are looking to save money and just buy one horse for the whole family this is the one to buy. The whole family can ride him at once. No joke. He can easily carry 3 people.
King Kong is a black percheron gelding standing 18.2 hand tall. Yes, 18.2 hands tall and 4ft wide. He is quite a large animal. But he truly acts like a pony. He loves attention. Don’t worry he fit in a horse trailer fine. He just wouldn’t fit in a small bumper pull. But any other trailer you are good.
He will walk right up to you in the pasture and he wants you to catch. He literally begs you to catch him. He loves being around his people. He will gladly leave his pasture mates to hang around his people and go on adventures. I can't say that enough. He truly loves being around people and getting all the attention. Seriously you cannot walk out to the pasture without him being in your pocket and wanting to follow you everywhere you go. He is a true definition of a in your pocket type.
King Kong is just 5 yrs old. Yes just 5. He has his whole life ahead of him. But he has the experience of a 20yr old horse. He has already had so much real world experience. When King Kong came to us, he came off a big ranch in Montana. Where he was being used like a ranch horse. They used him like a regular quarter horse. He doesn't know he is big or different. They did all the chores on him. Rode him on all sorts of trails. He can handle any terrain.
For a big horse he has the smooth trot and lope. Has a lot of handle. Has a great handle. Backs. Side passes. Really broke and soft in the bridle. Responsive to all cues. Whether on his back or on the ground. Again he handles like a small horse. Very easy to handle and ride. You don't have to pull hard. He is very light both in his mouth and on his sides to give cues. We just ride him with simple short shank snaffle or an o-ring snaffle. He doesn't need a heavy bit. He is also aware ano cautious with his surroundings. Our little sweet 12 Ib puppy is always running around his feet. Also the kids. He makes sure to not step on them. Loves smelling of the puppy and following him around to see what he's doing. It truly is amazing to see such a big horse with such a heart of gold. He truly is the sweetest most kindest natured soul. I would absolutely say King Kong is safe. Absolutely no bad habits or quirks about him. You don't have to know anything special to own him. He is easy to be around and especially to handle.
I think he would make an excellent mount police horse. He has so much patience that would make him perfect for those situations.
King Kong doesn't require anything special. We use our regular saddle and girts on him. He does need an extra large head stall and halter but that’s it.
He is such an easy keeper. He has excellent hooves. He is sound in every way. Absolutely healthy. Nothing wrong with him. We did have a pre evaluation done on him by our vet. (Will include in the pics). Horses like Goliath are few and far between. Your neighbors won't have one like him. You will stand out riding him.
Call us if you would like anymore info about him. We have owned and loved this big guy. We would love to tell you about him. We would be happy to help you arrange shipping on him anywhere. He is super easy to load and unload. Hauls like a dream.
