Nala is a 5 year old Quarter Horse x Percheron mare standing 15.3 hands high. Nala is the type of horse that turns you into a mare lover. She is up for any adventure, and sensible enough for any job. She has had a versatile upbringing, setting her up for success in anything you choose to do with her. She is sporty and brave on the cross country field, sure footed on the trails, well broke under western tack, and a fantastic partner in the dressage arena. Nala is no drama, smart as a whip, and just loves having a relationship with her person. Some folks say they aren't mare people, but when you get to form a bond with a horse like Nala, you form a true partnership that will have you feeling unstoppable together.
In the ring, Nala will ride both English and western. She has great lateral work, easy transitions, picks up both leads, and is schooling flying changes. She will ride on a loose rein, or round in the bridle, and listens well to leg, seat, and voice cues. Under western tack, Nala has a nice neck rein, spin, and big stop. She has the foundation that has set her up to easily be able to do dressage, western dressage, working equitation, and more! Over fences, Nala has lots of scope! She has been introduced to various fences on the cross country field and in hunt country. She will jump down banks, over ditches, coupes, walls, logs, and more! Eventing dreams? Nala is your girl!
On the trails, Nala will ride alone or in a group. She is used to hopping in the trailer and going new places. She crosses water, logs, bridges and more. She's gone riding in town, and is safe in traffic and by busy roads. She's a master on the obstacle course too!
In the barn, you would have no idea Nala is a mare. She is sweet and gentle, and absolutely drama free. She has great ground manners, and stands politely for all the usual tasks. She is happy living inside or out, and gets along in turnout with mares and geldings.
