18-year-old former polo mare, suitable as a recreational horse

Due to personal circumstances, we are seeking a good home for this lovely recreational trail mare ❤️

Former polo horse

- 18 years old  
- approximately 1.57 m (16.1 hh)  
- Mare  
- 90% Thoroughbred (Cria GT lineage)  
- Can only be turned out alone; very well-behaved and social in a group  
- Very calm standing tied, loading into trailer/truck, farrier, and dentist (recently seen by the dentist in July), known for her reliability with polo horses  
- Stands square on iron shoes but has also been barefoot  
- Up to date with vaccinations and deworming  
- Here, she is outside 24/7 with a shelter  
- No injuries, in excellent condition  

Her entire history is known to us

We brought her here 10 years ago from a polo club in southern Spain.

Because she was too chaotic/nervous for polo, she was resting for two years before coming to us and being retrained.

She has been with us for a long time now, and we have done many activities together, including endurance competitions, holidays in Veluwe, beach, and forest rides.

A very nice horse for outdoor riding. Has lots of energy (especially in winter 😉).  
She has been through quite a lot. Can be a bit chaotic at gallop and is not always easy to ride in the arena or pasture. Straight lines are still her comfort zone. Therefore, an insecure rider is not a good match.

No dealers or riding schools.  
Only serious inquiries that can offer her a good home.

She is still ridden about four times a week in the woods.
