"Shotgun is a beautiful 5 year old 37” palomino with a cute star and a flax mane and tail. He has a nice thick conformation and is just a picture perfect little gelding. He is gorgeous in his winter coat but when he sheds off he has a beautiful creamy shine.
Bess did all the training on him from start to finish and he has all our foundation training, on the ground and in the saddle. He is easy to catch and will stand patiently to be groomed. Shotgun will give up all 4 feet for cleaning and trimming and is a very respectful pony all the way around. He will ride bareback and with a saddle, in a halter or in a bridle. Shotgun will yield all 4 quarters correctly and has a nice soft one rein stop and back up. He will also walk , trot and lope both directions correctly although his preferred gait is a nice easy walk. He is very nice and correct in the arena and barnyard but he is also excellent in the woods and on the trail. Bess has taken him on hundreds of miles of trail rides and he will ride front back or in the middle. He is a good confident trail pony and has the stamina to go all day long. Shotgun will keep up with the big horses and will also ride off by himself without any issues. He is a sure enough great all around pony just looking for his kids to love forever.
