The dam, Ascensia (5) SWB, was awarded a premium in dressage and achieved an impressive 52 points as a three-year-old. She is a *** performance mare with a dressage breeding index of 149, descending from mare family 5, a powerful maternal line that has produced numerous successful dressage horses.

The grand-dam, Adelaide, is an Elite Mare who received a premium in dressage as a young horse and holds a dressage index of 143. She has competed up to M-level dressage and produced A Cappella (by Connaisseur), a Breeders Trophy competitor, and Adelinde (by Dream Boy), awarded a premium in dressage as a 3- and 4-year-old, now competing successfully at M-level B. She also produced Ascona (by Secret), awarded a premium in dressage.

The great-granddam, Mint, has competed at S-level dressage with Pernilla André Hokfelt and is also an Elite Mare. She produced Barcelona (by Bombay), competing at M-level B, and Miami (by Master), an A-graded mare. Miami's daughter Aquila (by Quite Easy) was awarded a premium in dressage at her young horse test, competed in Breeders Trophy, and has performed up to Intermediaire I level. Mint also produced Arezzo (by Rubinrot), which was awarded a premium in dressage and competed at Intermediaire I, and Akleja (by Akribori), competing at the M-level in dressage. Mint's son Adriano (by Don Primero) received a premium in dressage as a three-year-old, placed in Breeders Trophy, and was later exported to the USA, competing successfully up to Intermediaire I, and is now an approved and licensed stallion in SWANA.

Racoon placed fifth in the 5-year-old final at the 2022 World Young Horse Championships with 8.82 points, including 9.0 for trot, suppleness, and future potential. He was then purchased by Lövsta Stud, immediately appealing to Swedish breeders, and has been one of the most used dressage sires in recent years. During the 2024–2025 winter season, he competed successfully in Wellington with rider Caroline Darcourt, achieving results up to Intermediaire I. He is licensed in SWB and approved in several other foreign studbooks and has so far produced one approved son. His dam is a sister to two Grand Prix dressage horses and one 1.60m show jumper. His sire, Hero, competes at S-level dressage.
