Gaited Trail Racking Horse Gelding

Buckwheat is a coming 5-year-old gelding standing 14.3 hands, expected to mature around 15 hands. He was raised on the farm and has been handled correctly from the start. He gets along well with other horses and has plenty of real trail miles under him across Kentucky, Virginia, and Tennessee.

He is a very laid-back, easygoing horse with a smooth, natural gait and a steady mind. Most riders will feel comfortable with him, and he has been exposed to traffic, dogs, and busy environments without concern. He has been ridden extensively on the road and in the mountains, and he stays sure-footed and confident wherever he goes.

Buckwheat stands quietly for the farrier, for mounting and dismounting, and even when positioned beside a log or mounting spot, he will wait patiently until you are on and settled, and he remains in place when you dismount as well. He ties, picket-ties, and travels well.

Shoes are kept on him due to the amount of road riding he does.
