13yr Thoroughbred Mare

13yo AQHA/Jockey Club mare – 16h – Stunning, sweet, and talented.

This is a hard post for me. I love this mare dearly, but at 56 I need something slower and more laid-back. She has more speed than I’m comfortable with—but she is not hot or spooky.

She’s gentle and obedient. Walks right up to you at the gate, she wants to be with her person. Stands like a soldier for saddling and mounting. Great with kids and excellent with other horses. Fantastic for the farrier. Wonderful on the trail—steady, willing, and confident. Up-to-date on all vaccines and Coggins. Teeth newly floated (she’ll “smile” if you ask!)

Never raced; previously a barrel horse. Produced a gorgeous, smart colt last year & she would make an excellent broodmare.

She truly is a special girl, and I want her to go to a great home.

Will consider trade for a ranch-trained QH around her age.
