We are reluctantly parting with our wonderful broodmare Kosima, the celebrated Trakehner Mare of the Year 2026. Kosima not only exemplifies the ideal type, conformation, build, and movement quality of a model Trakehner broodmare but also embodies a moving chapter of East Prussian breeding tradition and culture.

In six foaling seasons, she has produced six foals, including the premium mare Kosette by Giuliani and the auction elite Katheryna (Münster-Handorf 2024). In 2025, she was not covered due to a late foaling.

Her sire Schwarzgold has long been recognized as a highly influential sire, especially through his licensed sons, including a champion stallion, a reserve champion, and several premium stallions, as well as through his highly awarded daughters, among them multiple winners of central approvals. He has also achieved success in S-level dressage competitions.

Her dam, Kontadina, is one of the numerous premium daughters of the elite mare Kontessina and is also a sister to the champion stallion Kissinger. Kosima represents the currently most valuable and genetically reliable branch of the prominent Dohnasche K-Dynasty, which includes S-level dressage horses such as Kaspian, Konradi TSF, Kasimir TSF, Kiriakos, as well as the year-division winners Karissima, Kaija, and Krishna, and numerous highly valued auction elites.

Kosima has never been ill with us and is in excellent health and top condition. She is a true gem in character, very attentive and friendly towards people.
