He is extremely broke to walk, trot, and canter. His gaits are slow and steady. Jake has fantastic transitions both up and down and his brakes are amazing. Kids as young as 5 years old have ridden him independently. He is extremely easy with no tricks up his sleeve. Jake will listen to the tiniest of riders. He stands like a rock for grooming, tacking, saddling, mounting, and dismounting. He was an asset in our lesson program as he is a very kind and patient teacher. He jumps around full courses with flying changes. He has been shown in several open shows and needs no preparation in a new environment. Outside, Jake gets along with others and he is easy to catch in any sized field. Jake also drives like a dream. On the trails, he’s steady and unflappable. In the woods, water, open fields, cars, traffic, all are no problem for him.
