Robust young show jumping prospect with plenty of energy and drive

Caddington is a colt born in 2023, by Carrera VDL out of a Special Effect damsire. Only three years old and already a good jump under saddle. A very beautiful chestnut with plenty of go, well put together and a strong type. He jumps well off the ground, is careful and tries hard over the fence, with a good attitude and sharp in a good way. Suitable from amateur and beginner to professional.

Sire Carrera VDL jumped 1.60m himself at international level under Jur Vrieling — with wins including the Nations Cup of Drammen and the Grand Prix of Vestfold — until an injury ended his career early. This KWPN-approved son of Cardento out of a Baloubet du Rouet dam sires international showjumpers up to 1.60m, including:
Mister Jup (1.60m, winner of the Grand Prix London, under Yuri Mansur)
Carabella vd Neyen Z (2nd World Cup La Coruña)
Kallmar VDL (1.50m, two-time winner of the Grand Prix Thessaloniki)

Damsire Special Effect jumped 1.40m and is an approved Oldenburg showjumping stallion (Stakko x Corrada).
