Here’s the Major! The most attractive chestnut gelding we have ever had. Major has the most exquisite face with his big white strip. He makes you take a second look with his presence! Major is an NRHA money earner of $50,000 and an own son of $18 million sire, Gunnatrashya o/o a daughter of million dollar sire, Smart Starbuck. This gelding is the ferrari in our barn!
Major has been proving himself to be a knock-out, big time rope horse. Jared would absolutely love to keep this guy for himself to head and heel on. The ability this horse has is unbelievable sometimes. Major has clearly proven in the show pen that he is an athlete and that has crossed over into the roping pen very well. On the head side, he is fast across the line and can absolutely drag his rear end when that rope goes on. He has all the presence coming across the pen and then finishes with the beautiful sliding face. Major will go as fast as you ask, but when you pick up on him he will be respectful and come back to you. Coming around the corner on the heel side this guy just plain and simple works. This guy has all of the tools to head to the jackpots and truly go big-time. He is not your every day, run of the mill kind of rope horse, but the kind that the big dogs 6 and up need.
Major is a winner. Winning $50,000 in the show pen is no easy feat. This special gelding has crazy fast spins and long beautiful stops. One can ask him to move out strong in his fast circles and he will give you a beautiful transition to his slow circle. Lead changes are of no concern for Major and his rollbacks are snappy and stylish. He is so fun to do reining patterns on at home. Major has also been to a handful of ranch riding shows where he placed in the top three each time. This guy can really move out in his trot and then has a nice jog with a pitter patter lope that even Grandma can be comfortable on. Major is absolutely safe and loves when the kids play on him in the arena. He is a total babysitter that way.
Major is very friendly and loves attention. The kiddos always get him out to groom and saddle for us. We recently hauled Major to Arizona with us to rope on as well as hit the trails. Major knows how to eat and drink on the road and will get along with every single horse. This guy can stand tied all day long and is always respectful of his surroundings. Major stands 15 hh and is very sound!
