A SILVER DOLLAR — “SILVER” Some things never lose their value, and a good horse is one of them. Meet A Silver Dollar, better known around the ranch as Silver. He’s 8 years old, stands 14 hands, and is pure handsome. This striking grey gelding has the looks to turn heads, but his value goes far beyond his color. He is gentle, sensible, well broke, and backed by the kind of experience that makes a horse genuinely enjoyable to own. Silver is SAFE FOR ANY LEVEL RIDER. He is quiet and forgiving enough to take care of a less experienced rider, yet broke, responsive, and capable enough that an experienced horseman will enjoy every minute on him. He adjusts to the person in the saddle and is the kind you can feel comfortable putting just about anyone on. Silver has put in his time on the ranch. He has gathered and moved cattle through big pastures, sorted cattle, been used at brandings, checked fence, opened gates, and covered plenty of country. He understands a day’s work and goes about it with a willing attitude and a good head on his shoulders. But if there is one place Silver truly stands out, it is on the trail. He is SUPERB outside. This gelding will take you through steep country, down narrow trails, across water and bridges, over rocks and logs, and through thick brush. He is sure-footed, sensible, and confident about where he puts his feet. Silver will ride out alone just as comfortably as he rides with a group, and he is content leading, following, or settling into the middle. Wildlife, dogs, traffic, bicycles, and the unexpected things you meet along the way are all taken in stride. Back in the arena, Silver has plenty of education. He picks up both leads, neck reins, has a nice stop, backs willingly, and rides comfortably through all of his gaits. We have also exposed him to flags, tarps, bridges, tires, and a variety of obstacles. He is absolutely unflappable nothing scares him. Silver is just as pleasant on the ground. He ties, loads, hauls, bathes, stands for the farrier, and is easy to saddle and handle. There are plenty of pretty grey horses. Finding one with Silver’s mind, experience, versatility, and ability to take care of such a wide range of riders is what sets him apart. A SILVER DOLLAR — a name you’ll remember and a horse you’ll be proud to own. FaceTime and in-person visits welcome Nationwide shipping available LONGHORN RANCH Paicines, CA Dina —831:537:1915
