The Cob is an exception in the sense of not being a solid breed, even though it has just as easily recognizable characteristics as pure breeds. However, the difference is that Cobs (accepted horse type) can be achieved via different cross-breeding. The meaning of the name Cob describes quite well a ... More about the horse breed Cob

This is a sad decision but after spending an amazing 4 years together it’s come to an end. Diego is my pride and joy but for a while now I’ve just not been enjoying our work together, nothing on his behalf but it’s time for me to start a new journey with another horse. If I could keep him I 100% would but I haven’t got the time or money for 2.
Some more about Diego…
Diego is an absolute clown, he’s the funniest horse I’ve ever met, he’s got such a sweet heart and is willing to try anything that is put infront of him.
School:
In the school Diego is an angel he has 3 lovely bold paces. When I ride him he his quite forward going and will do anything I ask, with new riders he tends to be more lazy until he realises that’s he’s actually got to work but once he’s going he’s lovely to ride.
He’s not spooky at all, and will get on with anything you ask. He is absolutely fine with children in the school I’ve had many young kids ride him and he isn’t bothered one bit.
Jump:
Diego’s loves a jump, he’s very well behaved and will try and save the rider as much as possible when on a sticky stride. He’s has jumped 1.20m but that’s not consistent, he’s more comfortable around 70/80cm, I’ve done a 80/90cm sj course on him but he’s not a sj type at all, he rathers a jump at home. He loves abit of grid work to get his brain working. I’ve done xc a couple times and he absolutely loved it, and would try anything.
Hack:
This is where Diego will need a confident and strong rider. On the roads he is an absolute dream and will not put a hoof wrong, traffic, machinery etc does not bother him. on slow hacks he is well behaved and is happy to go for a plod for hours. On faster hacks he gets excited, especially if he knows the area! If he knows he can take the mick with the rider he will, he doesn’t do anything outstandingly dangerous but if the rider isn’t capable to hold him he will bolt, this is what worry’s me as I don’t want people to think he is nasty or get the wrong idea of him, that’s why I’m being completely honest so you know everything about Diego. He can get dancey when he’s excited and dance sideways and shake his head. In open spaces is where this is most likely to happen as he’s more excitable. Nothing that Diego does is out of nastiness it’s is all just excitement! He is willing to hack alone or in company.
On the ground:
On the ground Diego is well behaved, he can be fidgety on the yard but nothing a haynet can’t fix, in the morning he gets impatient and wants to be the first out in the field so he does kick the door with this front foot but has gotten a lot better over the last few months.
He is fine being tacked up, groomed, farrier, clipped etc
