Sadie is a striking 4-year-old, 14.2 hh chestnut mare registered with the American Connemara Pony Society. She is an exceptional mover with the presence, balance, and substance to excel in the sport-horse world.
We purchased Sadie directly from the breeders who raised her from a foal, making us only her second owner. She offers excellent bone, a strong build, and the kind of substance that allows her to go in a variety of directions. Sadie is a correct, balanced mover with natural rhythm and quality gaits. She demonstrates a ground-covering walk, a beautiful, flowing trot, and a balanced lope with easy, correct circles.
In the arena, Sadie stands quietly to be mounted, bends softly at the poll, works willingly off leg pressure, stops well, and backs up smoothly. She has been exposed to tarps and has been ridden english and started over small jumps, showing athleticism and a willing attitude.
Outside the arena, Sadie has been trail ridden and confidently navigates logs, ditches, hills, and water. She is brave and forward on the trails, going out with confidence and curiosity. She has also been lightly started under harness, further showcasing her versatility.
Sadie is a pleasure to handle on the ground. She stands tied all day, is excellent for the veterinarian and farrier, easy to catch, and stands quietly for brushing, saddling, and bridling. She enjoys a bath, is good with fly spray, and is happy either stalled or turned out with other horses.
Athletic, versatile, and stylish, Sadie is well suited for a hunter, sport pony, or all-around program. She is a lovely prospect for someone looking to bring along a talented young pony with quality, presence, and a solid foundation. 100% sound.
