Rosie: ultra quiet, steady, reliable, patient gentle giant

Rosie is a 16.2h 5yo big-bodied, weight-carrier type Irish Draught cross grey roan mare
She is exceptionally quiet, especially for hacking alone and in open fields. She is also great to hack in groups, around tractors, machinery, cars, and cows. She is equally happy to lead or follow
Rosie is very patient, gentle, and forgiving to a rider’s mistakes. She has been ridden by many of our staff and students and remains her reliable, consistent self
Rosie is also able to pull a carriage, ride bareback, and move cows
She is very mannerly to shoe, tie, wash, catch, hack, groom, etc.
Rosie will pop over a log and would suit as a very safe hunt horse
She is a steady kick-ride, more woah than go, never spooky or bold, and would make a good horse for a riding school or amateur learning to canter.
She is extremely tolerant of a nervous rider, hectic surroundings and carrying a lot of weight; for these reasons we do believe she would suit for therapeutic lessons
It is hard to find a steadier, quieter partner for riding out alone. We are certain Rosie will make a loveable, confidence-boosting partner for someone looking for their next trusty happy hacker or family horse.
