5 year old Registered Missouri Foxtrotter Gelding

If you’re looking for an all-around horse, Danny might just be your guy! Danny is a 5-year-old registered Missouri Foxtrotter gelding, standing 15.2 hands.

I have owned Danny for a year now with the intention of training/fine tuning and making him a wonderful partner for someone, and he has turned out to be everything I hoped for! He started with an older gentleman on groundwork at 2 and under saddle at 3; he has a very good foundation. He lunges in both directions, backs up with the wiggle of the rope, and yields his hindquarters on the ground. I have taken him on hundreds of miles on the trails of Arkansas and Missouri.
He is sure-footed and careful on loose gravel or rocks. He has a smooth gait and a wonderful flat-foot walk, along with foxtrot. He will go at whatever speed you want; he can also do a QH walk if you prefer that pace. Danny is friendly and easy to catch out at pasture. He is not spooky but can be a little watchful of new things every now and then; he has never bolted and takes new things carefully and slowly. I have put some long days on him, around 15 miles, and he’s the same horse with the same go when you get back. He’s been on lots of group trail rides and does great; he rides out alone with no problem and doesn’t mind other horses leaving him. He loves water and will go anywhere you want him to. He’s traffic safe, dogs don’t bother him, and he will go over wooden bridges. Danny will side-pass both ways; he yields his hindquarters both ways. And pivots both ways. He will come over to you to get on if you’re on a mounting block or a tree beside the trail. He stands quietly tied, stands well for the farrier, and loves baths. He trailers well and backs out.
He does very well with new people, beginner riders, and children.
Danny has the absolute sweetest personality: no buck, no kick, no bite, no rear, no bad habits. Danny is always the same horse when you get him out, even if he’s been sitting for weeks.
