Ladybug is a 14yr old registered Missouri Foxtrotter mare and is a barn favorite not only for her eye catching color but for her sweet, lovey personality! Stands 15H at her withers. She is very safe. She’s never offered to do anything funny or unpredictable. Very bubbly, happy personality. Loves to be with you! She moves cattle around, trail rides in small or big groups. We’ve trail ridden her out on trails, through neighborhoods and out to the seafood grounds. I’ve ridden out to the seafood grounds with and without company and she’s always willing to go, just not as settled without another horse but very easy to manage. She rides through the neighborhood well with loud vehicles and dogs rushing fences. I drag things off of her, carry and walk over tarps, she carries the flag and stands on the pedestal. She loads and unloads perfectly in our 6-horse and 2-horse trailer. She’s been hauled to barrel races to see the sights and has little to no spook. She paws when she’s tied at the trailer by herself but is happy with a companion. Has great feet!! Tough, strong soles — while barefoot she’s easily able to cross gravel and pavement with no sensitivity. She’s around goats, dogs, chickens, kids and other horses daily. She is turned out with three other horses and has been low in the pecking order since we’ve had her, does not cause any trouble with her pasture mates. She is very bright, curious, and confident - a perfect adventure buddy! She would be best suited to someone confident with soft hands, but does not have to be super experienced. Intermediate/very confident beginner would be ideal. I say this because she is more willing to go forward and is ridden with contact more of the time, so she would need to be matched with someone who is comfortable with that. She neck reins and is ridden two handed. She has a super smooth, pleasant flatfoot walk perfect for trails or arena riding. She is such a package — she’s going to make someone a super fun, versatile mare! She has a superficial scar on right hind but causes no issues. Teeth were done a couple months ago and has up to date coggins.
