Meet Gus!
The most incredible buckskin gelding who checks every dream pony box from the moment you see him.
At 7 years old and standing 52”, he is the perfect combination of quiet kindness mixed with talent and ability. He is extremely well-broke and rides just like a big horse with real handle, real training, and real feel. He has everything it takes to be the PERFECT all around pony for your child, whether you need a babysitter or a step up pony for your kiddos to excel with and move to the next level, no matter the discipline!
He is also big enough to carry a smaller adult, no problem.
Gus is as kind and kid-loving as they come. Easy to catch, gentle for little hands to groom, stands quietly for the farrier and vet, loves attention and an occasional snack! He is polite, patient, steady, and the same every ride.
With his old soul, and his gentle confidence building nature- it’s easy to see why parents have trusted Gus to help teach their beginners how to ride!
Under saddle, Gus is the kind of pony parents dream of finding. You can saddle him, hand the reins to your child, and feel comfortable. He is steady, quiet, dependable, and adjusts perfectly to his rider. He will poke along for timid kids, ride alone or in a group, cross water, step over logs, and stay level headed. When a more advanced kid climbs on, he becomes more responsive, athletic, and ready to work which makes him a rare pony who will grow with your children instead of being outgrown!
Gus is extremely well broke and rides with the training of a seasoned ranch horse. He spins, neck reins, moves off your leg, and rides very correct and honest. He has been a turn back pony for cutting and works confidently in sorting and team penning as well. Gus is also an excellent roping pony and has done heeling and steer stopping. He enjoys going after a cow, and will pin his little ears and put his rider right where they need to be.
He runs a neat and clean barrel pattern and will settle right back down to any pace if you need him to trot or slow lope the pattern.
He is also a wonderful little English pony who jumps willingly, stays balanced, and is easy to guide and ride. He’s so responsive, and watching him trot around neat and proper, will make you smile big. He is truly THE coolest pony and you won’t find any so versatile and genuinely talented at everything!
Our buddy Gus is the kind of pony families keep for a lifetime. If Wade didn’t already have a pony this size- Gus would not be for sale.

He sells 100 percent sound with a recent clean PPE performed by Dr. John Laster DVM of Todd County Animal Clinic which will be included at the end of the pictures.
